The 2.20-metre-wide house was built in 1751 in what was once a fire lane. In this narrow passageway, leather buckets filled with water from the nearby River Oker used to be hurriedly carried through to the burning half-timbered houses. Now, the narrow house blends harmoniously in with the slightly older neighbouring houses.  <\/p>\nngg_shortcode_0_placeholder\n

It is the narrowest house in Wolfenb\u00fcttel and a real gem even beyond the region\u2019s borders. With over 100m\u00b2 of living space, it boasts surprisingly spacious rooms, which you would hardly guess from the outside. The idyllic 80m\u00b2 garden is a true oasis right in the heart of the town!<\/p>\n

In 1994, the building underwent a major refurbishment and even won an award. Inside, a modern industrial-style design was created, providing a striking contrast to the half-timbered structure.
